Rockies Shimmy Past Giants, 3-2
|
The Colorado Rockies eked out a 3-2 win versus the San Francisco Giants at AT&T Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez. He was terrific. The third-place Rockies now have a record of 47-51.
Colorado used the timely hitting of Wilin Rosario to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rockies on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"When you have a good rhythm and good flow, it's nice to just go out there and pound the strike zone with confidence," said Jimenez.
