Reds Click Off Another Win, 2-1
The Cincinnati Reds did just enough to sneak past the Los Angeles Dodgers, 2-1, at Dodger Stadium. Cincinnati pitcher Jose Rijo, in particular, had a standout performance. Rijo picked up the win for Cincinnati, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 6-9. The first-place Reds go to 54-47.

The Reds got a big at-bat from first baseman Joey Votto. For the game, Votto went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Cincinnati a 2-0 lead.
