Reds Use Late Rally to Win
The Cincinnati Reds faced a tough opponent in Arizona pitcher Jose Mendez, but still scratched out a win at Great American Ball Park by a final score of 3-2 in 10 innings. Mendez went 7.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Cincinnati reliever Rob Dibble picked up the win, raising his record to 5-2. Curt Schilling was tagged with the loss. Today's win puts Cincinnati at 52-47, while Arizona falls to 44-55.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Cincinnati. That's when Joe L Morgan, who is tied for 5th in the NL in stolen bases with 22, hit a solo home run off Curt Schilling to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"It's going to click," said Arizona manager . "It's just a matter of when."
