Milwaukee shortstop Robin Yount played a vital role in his team's 6-5 conquest of Philadelphia. He went 3-4 with a home run and a triple, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Milwaukee. Rollie Fingers got the save, the 25th for him this season. Milwaukee, now 41-54, holds down last place in the National League Central Division.
Making an impact for Milwaukee was designated hitter Walter Cannady. Rev drilled a run-scoring double off Pete Alexander in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Cannady went 1-4 with a double.
