Pirates Defeat Nationals, 4-0
|
Behind an impressive start by Howie Camnitz, Pittsburgh beat Washington, 4-0. The third-place Pirates sport a record of 44-50.
Pittsburgh went in front, 1-0, on Andrew McCutchen's 6th home run of the season. The solo home run, which McCutchen hit in the top of the seventh, left Washington pitcher Henry McHenry visibly perturbed.
"My gosh almighty, Howie was tremendous," said Pittsburgh manager .
