Padres 4-3 Losers to Braves

A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Atlanta Braves and San Diego Padres.
The Atlanta Braves picked up a win at Turner Field, taking down the San Diego Padres, 4-3. Starting pitcher Sam Crawford was a big reason why. Crawford, now 12-4, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs.
Making an impact for Atlanta was first baseman Freddie Freeman. Andrew drilled a 2-run triple off Andy Benes in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Freeman was 1 for 3 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
After the game, Freeman applauded his team's resolve. "We kept our focus on the task before us," he said.
Atlanta is now 44-50.
