Minnesota beat Seattle at Target Field, eking out a 4-3 win. The triumph was primarily due to third baseman Cecil Travis. He was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs. The win was credited to Firpo Marberry in relief. His record improves to 2-3. J J Putz took the loss. With the win, Minnesota lifts its record to 11-16.
