The Cincinnati Reds topped the Colorado Rockies, 11-5, at Coors Field. Cincinnati right fielder Pete Rose Sr was a spark plug for the offense. He was 3-5 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. With the win, Cincinnati pushed its record to 46-42.

Rose Sr had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the third inning, when he hit a 2-run double. The Reds went on to win.
