Ozuna Powers Marlins to 8-5 Win
The Miami Marlins defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers, 8-5, at Marlins Ballpark. Leading the charge for Miami was left fielder Marcell Ozuna. He was 4-5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 doubles, while scoring 4 times and driving in 3. Kevin Brown earned the win for Miami. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 1. With the win, he raised his record to 8-9. The Marlins now own a record of 44-46.

The Marlins got a big hit from center fielder Turkey Stearnes. Facing Los Angeles pitcher Sandy Koufax in the bottom of the fifth, Stearnes pounded a 2-run home run to right. His 15th home run of the season put the Marlins ahead, 5-3.

"We put it together and came out with the win," Ozuna said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
