The Chicago Cubs took on the Colorado Rockies at Wrigley Field.

The Chicago Cubs topped the Colorado Rockies, 6-4, in National League action at Wrigley Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Chicago pitcher Rick Reuschel. Sean Marshall collected save number 18.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but Randy Myers didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Colorado trailing 6-4, Myers retired Charlie Blackmon to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Myers, with a wink.

The 'W' lifts Chicago's record to 35-47.
