Blue Jays Tack 5-1 Loss on Astros
|
With left fielder Hurley McNair leading the charge, the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Houston Astros, 5-1, at Minute Maid Park. McNair, who is tied for 5th in the AL in triples with 2, went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Toronto goes to 12-8.
With Toronto leading 1-0 in the top of the second, McNair hit a fastball from Gerrit Cole for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Blue Jays ahead, 4-0.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," McNair told the Toronto Citizen.
