The Atlanta Braves grabbed a win, 6-1, over the Colorado Rockies at Turner Field. Atlanta designated hitter Ronald Acuna Jr. was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Atlanta reliever Eric O'Flaherty picked up the win to move to 1-1. Nip Winters suffered the loss. The 4th-place Braves bumped their record to 37-41.

Atlanta took the lead, 3-1, on Wally Berger's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Colorado pitcher Nip Winters in the bottom of the seventh.
