Sam Crawford, who is tied for 6th in the NL in complete games with 1, was locked in. The right-hander led the Atlanta Braves to a 1-0 win against the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park. Atlanta occupies 4th place in the National League Eastern Division at 36-39.

It could have been a different outcome for Atlanta, had it not been for Wally Berger, the 24-year old left fielder . Berger contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Atlanta up, 1-0.

"I feel like we're rolling now," Crawford told the Atlanta Chronicle."The dugout is coming alive."
