The Milwaukee Brewers in 13 innings downed the Pittsburgh Pirates, 6-5, at Miller Park. Carlos Gomez led the way, going 3-for-6 for Milwaukee. Milwaukee, now 30-40, holds down 4th place in the National League Central Division.
The Brewers got a clutch hit from catcher B J Surhoff. In the bottom of the 13th, he hit a run-scoring single to left, to win the game for the Brewers.
