The Baltimore Orioles rode a solid performance from 25-year-old starting pitcher Dave McNally to a win, beating the Los Angeles Angels, 4-2, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Stu Miller, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 5th save. Baltimore is now 12-11.

The Orioles got a big hit from right fielder Frank Robinson. In the bottom of the sixth, Robinson smacked a 3-run home run off Los Angeles pitcher Roy Partlow. It was his 3rd home run of the season. Suddenly, the Orioles were ahead, 4-2.
