Rockies Use Late Rally to Win
|
The Colorado Rockies, with some walk-off drama, delighted their fans at Coors Field.
Colorado left-hander Juan Padron helped his team edge Los Angeles by the score of 3-2 in 11 innings. Padron kept the opposing lineup in check. The Rockies raised their record to 29-34.
Colorado got a knockout punch from Todd Helton. The first baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"Exhilarating win," said Padron.
