Skidding Brewers Lose 7th Straight
The Miami Marlins defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, 4-1, in National League action at Marlins Ballpark. Miami pitcher Jose Fernandez had a standout performance. Miami reliever Bryan Harvey picked up the win. Chuck Crim took the loss for Milwaukee. Robb Nen notched his 14th save in 15 chances.

The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Dick Lundy came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Milwaukee pitcher Chuck Crim, he hit a 2-2 slider for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Miami on top, 2-1.

"We're going through a bad spell," said Milwaukee manager .
