Nationals Do In Rockies, 7-6
|
The Washington Nationals knocked off the Colorado Rockies, 7-6, at Nationals Park. Anthony Rendon hit 1 single and 1 double, while driving in 2 runs. John Wetteland stitched up the save, his 4th. The Nationals now own a record of 32-25.
Washington went up, 7-6, on Martin Dihigo's 14th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Dihigo hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Colorado pitcher Kyle Freeland stewing.
"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Rendon, "but we got it done."
