Reds Rally Late to Clip San Francisco
The timely hitting of Eric Davis helped the Cincinnati Reds down the San Francisco Giants, 6-5. Davis went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Reds. Cincinnati pitcher Noodles Hahn got the win, upping his record to 2-2. Gary Lavelle got the loss. The win boosts the Reds to 27-25. The loss puts the Giants at 29-23.

Davis had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-1 fastball from Gary Lavelle, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Reds a 6-5 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Davis.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Davis told the Cincinnati Bulletin.
