Nationals Find a Way to Win
|
The Washington Nationals, despite a fine performance by Cincinnati pitcher Jose Rijo, grabbed a 3-2 win in 10 innings at Nationals Park. Rijo allowed 1 run over 6.1 innings. Washington reliever Tim Burke picked up the win, while Rob Dibble took the loss for Cincinnati. The Nationals now have a mark of 28-21.
Martin Dihigo delivered a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the tenth to win it for the Nationals. For the game, Dihigo was 1-4 with a walk.
"I was able to change speeds effectively tonight," said Dihigo.
