Nationals Lose to Cardinals in Walk-Off
Dizzy Dean pitched a gem to lead St. Louis to victory over the Washington Nationals, 2-1. The win went to Al Hrabosky in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Tim Burke took the loss. The Cardinals raised their record to 25-23.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for St. Louis. That's when Frankie Frisch hit a 2-run double off 28-year old right-handed pitcher Tim Burke to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"On the outside I was calm," said Cardinals manager . "But inside I was a nervous wreck."
