Mets Post 5-4 Win

The New York Mets picked up a win at Citi Field, knocking off the Milwaukee Brewers, 5-4. On the mound for New York was right-hander Dwight Gooden. He played a key role in the triumph. With the win, the Mets sit at 28-23.
Mike Piazza had a big 2-run home run for the Mets in the bottom of the sixth inning. With New York trailing 4-3 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 29-year old left-handed pitcher Teddy Higuera and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Mets on top, 5-4.
Mets manager raved about Gooden after the game. "I thought Dwight was 'lights out.'"
