The Los Angeles Dodgers picked up a win at Dodger Stadium, topping the Milwaukee Brewers, 4-3. On the mound for Los Angeles was left-hander Fernando Valenzuela. He played a principal role in the triumph. The Dodgers, at 25-19, have now won 4 straight.
The Dodgers got a big at-bat from right fielder Carl Furillo. For the game, Furillo went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the first, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Los Angeles a 1-0 lead.
