Vance Leads Los Angeles to 3-2 Win
|
Los Angeles pitcher Dazzy Vance did his part in helping his team beat the Philadelphia Phillies, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The triumph puts Los Angeles at 22-19 for the season.
Vance, the winner, is now 3-1, after putting the clamps on the Philadelphia offense. In 8 innings of work, he gave up no runs on 3 hits, while collecting 7 Ks.
Vance attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
