Raucous Minute Maid Park Crowd Propels Astros to 3-0 Victory; Series Tied at 3
Houston starter J R Richard turned in an exceptional performance and got some last-minute help as the Astros forced the Round 1 into a decisive Game 7. The right-handed Richard threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball in a must-win situation against the Minnesota Twins, keeping Houston close enough to take the 3-0 victory on a 9th-inning walk-off. The winner of the series will advance to the Round 2.

Houston got a knockout punch from Jose Altuve. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"We're one game closer to our goal," Houston manager said later. "It isn't any more complicated than that."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Minute Maid Park in Houston.
