The Washington Nationals took it on the chin, losing, 10-1, to the Miami Marlins. Jose Fernandez, who is tied for 3rd in the NL with a 10.6 K/9 rate, pitched a strong game for Miami. Miami occupies 4th place in the National League Eastern Division at 20-21.

Miami second baseman Miguel Rojas contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a curveball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 25th hit of the season and put the Marlins ahead, 5-0.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Rojas.
