Nationals Win Streak Now at 6 After 4-1 Victory
Washington Nationals starter Martin Dihigo was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Miami Marlins, 4-1. Dihigo, now 5-2, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. Tim Burke saved it for Washington.

In the bottom of the fourth, Alfonso Soriano delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Washington second baseman hit a run-scoring single, putting the Nationals in front, 4-1.
