Nationals Get 5th Straight Win with Late Rally
The Washington Nationals had to overcome a big game from Atlanta shortstop Rafael Furcal to leave Turner Field with a victory. And they did, winning, 6-4. Furcal went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Tyler Clippard picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Johnny Sain suffered the loss. Tim Burke closed out the game, earning his 12th save.

Washington used the timely hitting of Jim Brown to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Nationals on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Afterward, Atlanta manager said: "Every team has a bad week."

The current losing streak for Atlanta has reached 6 games.
