Braves Drop Another One, 2-0
|
Washington turned a good effort from starter Dennis Martinez into a win over the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field. The Nationals won the game, 2-0. The second-place Nationals have won 4 straight.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Tim Raines Sr? The 27-year old right fielder Raines Sr stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put Washington up, 2-0. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"Do what you're good at," said Washington manager . "That's all I ask of the team."
