Relying mainly on his fastball, the right-hander spearheaded the 2-0 Cincinnati triumph. Aroldis Chapman locked down his 1st save. By defeating Chicago, the 4th-place Reds improved to 16-22.

Paige confounded Chicago hitters. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed no runs on 2 hits.
