Great American Ball Park was the site of a tense game between the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds.
Cincinnati Reds starter Mario Soto pitched effectively against the Chicago Cubs at Great American Ball Park. The right-hander spearheaded his team's 3-2 win. The victory puts Cincinnati at 15-22.
The Reds got a big at-bat from shortstop John Beckwith. For the game, Beckwith was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Cincinnati a 3-1 lead.
