Miami Sends Pittsburgh Packing with 5-3 Loss
Though the conditions were not ideal, the Miami Marlins and Pittsburgh Pirates came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

The Miami Marlins topped the Pittsburgh Pirates, 5-3, in National League action at PNC Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Miami pitcher Dontrelle Willis. The win gives Miami a season record of 18-17.

Miami used a clutch at-bat from Giancarlo Stanton to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Marlins ahead, 5-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We had a good game plan," Willis said, "and we were able to execute it."
