Higuera Takes Chainsaw to Washington Bats in 4-1 Win
|
Milwaukee Brewers starter Teddy Higuera pitched effectively against the Washington Nationals at Miller Park. The left-hander spearheaded his team's 4-1 win. Rollie Fingers saved it for Milwaukee. The loss makes Washington 19-15.
The Nationals had few good swings against Higuera, the left-hander, who threw 93 pitches over 7.2 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 3 hits.
"When I throw strikes I'm good, if I don't I'm not very good," said Higuera. "So I just have to throw strikes."
