The Los Angeles Dodgers got a stellar performance from pitcher Dazzy Vance, who handcuffed the New York offense en route to a win, 5-1, at Citi Field. Los Angeles is now 20-16, while New York is 24-18.

Los Angeles used the clutch hitting of Ron Cey to snag the win. The third baseman drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dodgers ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"Dazzy made his pitches," said Los Angeles manager .
