Brewers Axe Rockies at Miller Park
|
Milwaukee Brewers starter Mike Caldwell was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Colorado Rockies, 3-2. Caldwell picked up the win for Milwaukee, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 4-3. The Brewers go to 13-20 with the win.
The Rockies had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Brewers going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 29-year old third baseman Alex Radcliff came to the plate. Radcliff hit a run-scoring double on a first pitch fastball from Colorado hurler Dick Redding. It was Radcliff's 2nd double of the year.
Radcliff attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
