Cardinals Reel Off Another Win, 3-2
Starting pitcher Ray Brown was a major factor in the 3-2 St. Louis Cardinals triumph over the Miami Marlins. St. Louis has now reeled off 8 straight wins.

Joe Medwick had a big 2-run double for the Cardinals in the bottom of the first inning. With St. Louis leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a changeup from Kevin Brown, who is tied for 2nd in the NL in complete games with 1, and swatted a double to center. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cardinals ahead, 3-0.

"Ray was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said St. Louis manager .
