The Cincinnati Reds picked up a win at Miller Park, defeating the Milwaukee Brewers, 4-2, in 12 innings. Starting pitcher Satchel Paige was an essential part of his team's success. Cincinnati now has a record of 11-18.

Cincinnati used the timely hitting of John Beckwith to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Reds on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
