Cardinals Use Late Rally to Win 4th Straight
The St. Louis Cardinals besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Atlanta shortstop Rafael Furcal by beating the Braves, 6-4, at Turner Field. Furcal went 2-4 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Bruce Sutter recorded the save, his 9th. With the win, St. Louis elevates its record to 16-15.

Rogers Hornsby delivered a big hit for St. Louis. The second baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cardinals ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"They had a good approach," Atlanta skipper said of the opposition. "Hats off to them."
