Cardinals Shut Out Brewers, 1-0

Starting Pitcher Ray Brown was lights out, as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 1-0. The winner was Brown. He threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Teddy Higuera. Al Hrabosky, who is the 5th-best prospect in the Cardinals organization, nailed down the save.
St. Louis right fielder Stan Musial helped the Cardinals go up, 1-0, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Musial hit a run-scoring single off Milwaukee pitcher Teddy Higuera.
"I was a little disappointed," said Milwaukee manager . "We could've and should've scored more runs."
The loss drops Milwaukee to 10-14.
