Diamondbacks Stymied by Rockies, Winters
The home crowd had a good time watching the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies get after it.

The Arizona Diamondbacks had their hands full with Colorado Rockies starter Nip Winters, who frustrated Arizona hitters while leading Colorado to a comfortable, 6-0 win. Colorado is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 6th win in 17 games.

Winters earned the win, going 7.1 strong innings for Colorado. The native of Washington, District of Columbia, allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 7. Arizona hitters did next to nothing against the left-hander.

"Nip throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Colorado manager .
