San Francisco Decked, 7-4, by Nationals
|
The Nationals grabbed a win, 7-4, at Nationals Park, overcoming a fine effort from San Francisco pitcher Tim Lincecum. Lincecum went 6 innings and allowed 3 runs. John Wetteland nailed down the save. Washington, now 12-6, has played well in the early going.
Washington went up, 7-4, on Martin Dihigo's 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Dihigo hit in the bottom of the seventh, left San Francisco pitcher Rod Beck shaking his head.
"We've got a great group of guys," Dihigo said, "and we're having fun right now."
