The Kansas City Royals topped the Detroit Tigers, 5-2, the lion's share of the credit going to catcher Salvador Perez. On the day, Perez went 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Royals. Kansas City now has a record of 6-7.
