Texas designated hitter Newt Joseph collected 4 ribbies while his team bumped off the Seattle Mariners, 8-6, in 11 innings. Texas bumps their record to 54-78 with the win.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the 11th. With Texas trailing 6-4, Joseph jumped on a slider from 28-year old right-handed pitcher Brandon League and hit a grand slam home run to right-center. With one swing, the Rangers had a walk-off win.
