Late Offense Lifts Chicago to 3-2 Victory
The Chicago White Sox beat the Houston Astros, 3-2, in 13 innings. Chicago pitcher and Plains, Texas, native Ed Walsh led the way. Chicago pitcher Doc White earned the win, hiking his record to 4-4. Frank DiPino suffered the loss. The first-place White Sox improved to 68-54.

Sherm Lollar had a direct impact on the outcome. Lollar contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 13th inning to put Chicago up, 3-2.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Lollar.
