Rangers Win 6-5 Nail-Biter Versus Yankees
The Texas Rangers outlasted the New York Yankees, 6-5, in 11 innings. Buddy Bell led the way, going 2-for-4 for Texas. Francisco Cordero, now 1-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The loss puts New York at 6-4.

Bell dealt the big blow in the bottom of the 11th. That's when he launched a solo home run off New York pitcher Mariano Rivera to win it for the Rangers.

"Every game matters," said Texas manager . "I'm really amplifying that message."
