The Cleveland Indians and Texas Rangers met at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington to settle a score.
Texas beat Cleveland at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, eking out a 4-3 win. The triumph was primarily due to designated hitter Bullet Rogan. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball. Picking up the save was Jeff Russell. He's now 27 for 30 in save chances.
Mike B Young had a big bases-clearing double for the Rangers in the bottom of the third inning. With Texas trailing 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from CC Sabathia and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 18th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rangers ahead, 3-1.
After the game, Young applauded his team's resolve. "We kept our focus on the task before us," he said.
Texas, now 47-71, holds down last place in the American League Western Division.
