Boosted by the 3-hit performance of Bobby Grich the Los Angeles Angels defeated the Toronto Blue Jays, 6-2. Los Angeles pitcher Roy Partlow got the win, upping his record to 10-7. Doyle Alexander got the loss. Los Angeles has a record of 57-58, placing them 4th in the American League Western Division.

Kendry Morales had a big 2-run home run for the Angels in the top of the sixth inning. With Los Angeles leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Doyle Alexander and swatted a home run to left. It was his 7th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Angels ahead, 4-1.

"In this profession, you've got to put the good and the bad behind you quickly," Toronto skipper said.
