Orioles Lose, 6-0, at Tropicana Field
|
The Tampa Bay Rays got effective pitching from 26-year old right-handed pitcher William Bell. The 5-foot-7 , 170-pound Bell muzzled the Baltimore offense en route to a win, 6-0, at Tropicana Field. The save was credited to Jake McGee, his 1st. With the win, Tampa Bay climbs to 6-6.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but Jake McGee didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 3rd and Baltimore trailing 2-0, McGee retired Brooks Robinson to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said McGee, with a wink.
