Astros Lose as Mariners Stage Late Rally
Houston got a terrific performance from pitcher Shane Reynolds, but it wasn't enough to beat the Seattle Mariners. Seattle won the Safeco Field contest, 6-5. Reynolds threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The victory gives the Mariners a record of 56-55.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Seattle. That's when Cool Papa Bell, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2014 draft, hit a run-scoring double off Xavier Hernandez to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"You've got to ride the highs and the lows in baseball in order to succeed," Bell told the Seattle Observer. "Right now I'm feeling good, but that don't mean squat for tomorrow."
