|
Toronto Blue Jays starter Roy Halladay hurled his team past the Baltimore Orioles, 2-0. Halladay, the winner, moves to 12-8. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 3 walks. Duane Ward earned the save, his 26th.
Toronto took the lead, 2-0, on Bo Bichette's 18th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Baltimore pitcher B J Ryan in the top of the eighth.
"It all comes down to competing and our guys love to compete," said Blue Jays manager .
Toronto, now 57-54, holds down second place in the American League Eastern Division.
